GEORGIA SUPREME COURT GRANTS EXPEDITED HEARING ON SAME-SEX MARRIAGE APPEAL

The Georgia Supreme Court has accepted Governor Perdue's motion for an expedited hearing on the appeal involving the anti-gay marriage amendment (which was struck down by the lower court two weeks ago.) The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on June 27, 2006 at 10:00 am, and could decide the appeal at any point thereafter.

Please continue to let Governor Perdue know that regardless of the outcome or timing of the appeal, you don't support his decision to waste taxpayer funds on a special session that will put another anti-gay marriage amendment on the November ballot.
